We’re so happy here at Bread to see all of our favourite places in Brum and beyond opening back up now that lockdown restrictions have begun to ease! 
The 21st of June is fast approaching and we can’t wait for all the amazing events that are going on to mark the end of social distancing and lockdown restrictions! Here are some of our top picks for the 21st and beyond.. 

Everybody’s Birthday with Heavy Beat Brass Band at The Old Crown 21st June

‘’There will be party hats, there will be cake, there will be balloons, confetti, streamers, whistles, party poppers, glow sticks, whatever we can find in the pound shop’’. The Old Crown are celebrating being back at full capacity in style. New Orleans style band, Heavy Beat Brass Band, will be taking the lead and remixing modern jazz and pop all night!

The Night Owl will be welcoming us all back with open arms with one of their classic club nights, LETS DANCE! Featuring DJ duos Joel & Buck and Duffy & Quigley playing the best soul, funk, disco, alternative & Night Owl party faves.

The Streets present first in the room at The Mill, Digbeth 21st – 25th June 

The legendary Mike Skinner, is playing a series of live gigs with The Streets to celebrate the end of lockdown restrictions in the UK and a return to live music as we knew it. From Monday 21st June to Friday 25th June, The Streets will be performing to an intimate crowd at The Mill in Digbeth! Sadly, all 5 nights are already sold out! But keep an eye on The Mill for any other ticket releases.

Leftfoot Presents We Can Dance Again at The Hare and Hounds, Kings Heath Friday 25th June

The Hare and Hounds continue their end of lockdown celebrations with ‘We Can Dance Again’ – the comeback party with DJ Dick, Adam Regan and Matt Beck. We have missed nothing more than a good late night boogie at The Hare and Hounds and we’re sure we won’t be disappointed. This is a sold event, but keep an eye out on The Hare and Hounds for any further ticket releases!

MOHO Day and Nite Party at Deadwax, Digbeth – Saturday 3rd July

MOHO returns to Deadwax in Digbeth on Saturday 3rd July 2021, from 2pm till late with 3 rooms of music to keep you going all day and nite! They’ll be bringing you all your hip hop and RnB favourites we know you’ve been missing… Capacity is limited and tickets seem to be flying out fast so get in there while you can!

The opening of the Night Owls second venue in London – The Night Owl Finsbury Park 2nd – 4th July

A little further afield, but still worth all of our attention! The beloved Night Owl are growing their little family and opening up a second venue down South in Finsbury Park! They’re launching with a jam packed weekend full of our favourite nights from their Birmingham venue and more! We’re sure this would be worth a little trip down to the capital…

Mostly Jazz, Funk and Soul Festival, Moseley Private Park July 9th – 11th July

Everybody’s favourite local festival is back! And with a better than ever line up… Catch the likes of Neneh Cherry, The Wailers, The Fatback Band and Maribou State taking to the stage in Moseley Private Park. Unlock Brum at The Hare and Hounds, Kings Heath, 14th July

After live streaming the best local bands, DJs, comedians and more throughout 2020, Lock Down Brum is now finally ‘unlocked’ and showcasing some of the best talent in Birmingham in your favourite grassroots venue! Ruth & The Ark, Call Me Unique and Layla Tutt will all be performing live – celebrating the return of live music!
