Kings Heath United Against Racism, in collaboration with local venues, has just announced the Birmingham Palestine All-Dayer Festival, on Sunday 31 March 2024.
This event aims to raise awareness about the ongoing plight of the Palestinian people, demonstrating our solidarity, and issuing a call for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the genocide perpetrated by Israel in the Gaza Strip. The event also demands that UK political leaders cease their complicity in Israeli war crimes.
The Birmingham Palestine All-Dayer Festival will feature an eclectic programme across multiple venues in Kings Heath. Activities include live music, DJ sets, spoken word performances, storytelling, arts and crafts workshops, banner-making workshops, in-depth conversations with Palestinian writers and activists, and presentations on the history of Palestine.
Since the invasion began in October, more than 27,000 people, primarily women and children, have been killed, and thousands are missing or presumed dead under the rubble of Israel’s bombardment. UN Secretary-General António Guterres has described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as “appalling,” emphasising the urgent need for intervention.
Organised by KHUAR and supported by all Palestinian Solidarity Groups in Birmingham, the festival invites all supporters to attend and encourages the promotion of the event within networks. We particularly urge engagement from communities not yet involved in supporting Palestine. Together, let us amplify our collective voice against racism, apartheid, and injustice, working towards a world where peace and justice prevail.
